Negative Press
Don�t let the news media worry you; Real Estate values in Lake Havasu City have remained strong. I was looking through my records and noticed that selling
prices for single family homes in Lake Havasu City in the month of
March 2005 was $229,900. The first three months of this year indicated
that the average single family home sold for $313,647 a 27% increase
since March 2005. That�s great news considering the negative press that
real estate has been subject to lately and the construction slow down.
The
press is not helping the over all real estate market, as you know they
are reporting negative news about the market as a whole, unfortunately
this is what buyers are hearing and responding to. The flaw in this
negative reporting is that every community is different and not all
communities are in a crises situation. Our City is a great example, we
are continuing to sell almost 100 homes per month which is normal and
our average home selling prices are still up compared to a couple of
years ago. Communities such as ours would not be reported because it�s
more profitable to stir up peoples emotions based on negativity than to
say �you know there really is not much of a story here, the community
is still doing fine.
I personally
remain positive about the real estate market and will not participate
in the negative press. In my opinion Lake Havasu City is a great
community with approximately 3 homes still selling per day. If you are
